Manitoba Pulse Growers Association Inc. announces Donna Sagin as Director of Communications and Member Relations.
Donna will coordinate all aspects of communications including PulseBeat, MPGA’s website –manitobapulse.ca, media relations and will assist in planning member events, tours and conferences.
Carman, MB –April 14, 2014 – MPGA is pleased to announce Donna Sagin as the new Director of Communications and Member Relations, effective immediately. Donna will be working out of the Carman office part-time.
Donna comes to the Manitoba Pulse Growers Association with a background in agriculture and event management. Graduating from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, she has worked throughout the Canadian prairie provinces in agricultural sales and marketing, government extension, non-profit and event management. Donna is looking forward to working with the MPGA to increase both member awareness and public awareness of the pulse industry in Manitoba.
About MPGA
MPGA was founded in 1984 and represents nearly 3,000 producers in Manitoba who grow soybeans, edible beans, peas, lentils, chickpeas and faba beans. MPGA’s mission is to provide pulse grower members with production knowledge and market development support, through focused research, advocacy and linkages with industry partners. MPGA is funded by a 0.5% check off levy and is governed by a board of directors, including elected active producers and appointed industry representatives.
