2023 CALL FOR LETTERS OF INTENT

Coming soon!

Manitoba Pulse & Soybean Growers makes an annual investment in pulse and soybean research to address production challenges and market opportunities. Our vision is Manitoba farms sustainably producing profitable, quality pulse and soybean crops. To achieve this, we prioritize investment into scientific research that aims to ensure profitability for farmers, answer relevant production questions, discover new opportunities and increase the long-term sustainability of the pulse and soybean industry in Manitoba. The upcoming call for letters of intent (LOIs) ensures our association can invest in research to address emerging issues in a timely manner.

AGRI-SCIENCE CLUSTERS

As the previous five-year funding framework neared its end (by March 2023), MPSG was involved with the development of three Agri-Science Cluster applications throughout 2022. These include the Canadian Field Crops Research Alliance (CFCRA) Cluster (involving soybeans), the Pulse Cluster and the Integrated Crop Agronomy Cluster.

The current Agri-Science Clusters, to be funded through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (sCAP) from 2023-2028, have allowed MPSG and other groups to leverage federal investments in research to tackle issues of national priority. For more information on the clusters and MPSG’s involvement, reach out to MPSG staff.
